| False orbs are the
most misleading of all anomalies that can appear in paranormal photos.
False orbs can be caused by a wide variety of things: dust, rain,
snow, fog, bugs, light or sun glare, lens flare, lights off in the
distance, reflections from a camera's flash in a mirror or off glass or
off shiny objects (metal, reflective material, etc), or can even be
caused by the camera aperture opening itself (caspers). On this page are examples of orbs caused by moisture. Please click the links below to find examples of other "false anomaly" orbs. Browse the pages, educate yourself, and watch for these things during investigations so that you won't be fooled later on when you look at your photos.
